Linda Fiorentino

Linda Fiorentino

09.03.1960

Birth name: Clorinda Fiorentino

She got her first professional acting role in 1985 when she starred in Vision Quest. It was not until 1994 when she received rave reviews and accolades for her performance in The Last Seduction but because it was aired on HBO that she was unable to get an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress despite glowing reviews and accolates. Despite numerous reports about her being difficult, director John Dahl cast her again in Unforgettable and would work with her again. Her co-star Anthony Edwards from Gotcha! has also directed her in one of his films.Since 2002 she has kept a low profile and her last film role, in Liberty Stands Still received little or no attention because it was filmed months before and released a few months after the events of September 11, 2001 which might have been why it was never really promoted. She has been seen socially attending political functions like the screening of Street Smart and a dinner for the State of the Union dinner in New York City in 2006. She is currently working on the untitled Tina Modotti project based on the biography of Modotti's life. She has given up being in front of the camera and turned to producing and directing.
